Life (cf. biota) is a characteristic that distinguishes objects that have signaling and self-sustaining processes (biology) from those that do not, either because such functions have ceased (death), or else because they lack such functions and are classified as inanimate.
Yeah this is the “easiest” definition of “LIFE” Wikipedia could provide. To somebody Life might be more complicated and convoluted than this definition and to somebody it might be as easy as the word itself is.
What is Life? Is it a merely a scientific element of biology? Or it is the most interesting topic of “Art of Living”? Or something else? When I was a kid “life” used to be one of my most favourite words of my vocab, as it was very easy to spell – L-I-F-E. But then my 4years old brain didn’t have any clue how difficult it would be to understand the real meaning of this easy word – LIFE. Sometimes life seems to be more complicated than the toughest chemical reaction’s equation or sometimes it seems to be as easy as water. According to me “life” is nothing but a series of experiences. It’s just like an exciting ride in an amusement park. The problem is we can take pleasure in the ups and downs of the ride but we can’t enjoy the ups and downs of our lives. We always want “happiness” in life, but we forget that without “sorrow” we won’t be able to enjoy the taste of happiness. We cry, we blame GOD. We laugh, we never thank HIM. Life is to me as simple as I want it to be. We let a small problem make our whole life “HELL”, but we never let a small happiness make the life “HEAVEN”. Why? May be we always miss the tiny moments when the actual happiness comes to us. We miss them, because that time we get busy with so many problems that we miss the simple solutions. Then we just start hating LIFE.
I love my life. To me Life is fair, where I visit different stall every day. Some of them make me smile, some of them make me weep, some surprise me and some tease me. In this fair every stall is different from each other. And I know I have to visit all the stalls to enjoy the fair to the fullest. I love walking in the rain, I love hugging the air when it plays with me, I love talking to the moon at the midnight, I love touching the cotton clouds with my fingers, I love teasing the cow at the roadside and I love to love every little moment of my life cause I know every little moment of my life loves ME too.
